For anyone visiting Cape Town, Victoria & Alfred Waterfront is perhaps always on their itinerary. Named after Queen Victoria and her son Prince Alfred, this waterfront is the most visited attraction in South Africa. It is located in the heart of Cape Town’s harbour, between Robben Island and Table Mountain. This gives you great views of both the Atlantic Ocean and Table Mountain! As its the prime entertainment hub of Cape Town, there is just so much to do at V&A Waterfront!
This is definitely the right place for you whether you are a shopping junkie or a foodie. With over 450 stores and 80 eateries available, you’re gonna have a hard time finding something here that doesn’t exist! On top of that, there are several visitor attractions within V&A Waterfront itself – such as the Two Oceans Aquarium, Marine Museum, and the Cape Wheel. There is an interactive Rugby museum – The Springbok Experience, a must-visit for rugby fans! Next to the Aquarium there is a Craft and a Food Market.
If you are willing to ‘get out’ more, you can book the tour of Robben Island and take the ferry there which departs from Nelson Mandela Gateway. If you fancy ‘visiting’ Cape Town from the air, you can book a helicopter ride here as well! Enough talk I think? Let’s have a look at V&A Waterfront through this ‘Photo Essay’ 🙂
